Cost breakdown – what to expect

 

When planning a budget for a cedar hot tub, three main components must be taken into account: purchase, installation, and maintenance.

 

The cost of the hot tub : 25 thousand NIS + VAT including external stairs, hard cover, benches, warranty, and of course the tub :)

 

Cost of pumps: between 5-10 thousand NIS

 

Transportation and installation: 1,500 NIS within 70 km of the Jerusalem mountains

 

Maintenance : Bromine tablets - about 50 NIS per month

 

Electricity : a few hundred shekels per month

 

Tip : You can save on electricity consumption by installing a Shabbat clock and covering the hot tub on cold days.

How long does a cedar hot tub last?
With proper maintenance, such a tub can last between 15 and 30 years, and in some cases up to 50 years. The lifespan depends on the quality of the installation, protection from the weather, and regular water treatment.

 

Are cedar hot tubs prone to leaking?
Slight leaks at first are natural, the wood expands as it absorbs water and seals itself. Keeping the tub full of water helps maintain the tightness of the wood.

 

How to keep the water clear and clean?
Bromine: more gentle on wood than chlorine - it is recommended to use one tablet a day
pH raiser/lowerer: to maintain water balance - optional
Increases alkalinity: Maintains water stability and protects the tub - optional

 

Can I use the tub in winter and summer?

Yes, absolutely! The tub is suitable for multi-season use — both winter and summer.
In winter, the hot water and the natural insulation of the cedar wood maintain a pleasant warmth even at low temperatures, with the option of heating up to 40 degrees.
In the summer, it can also be used without heating or with light heating and even cooling, as a relaxing and refreshing experience in the open air.

The system includes an insulated cover, a heat pump, and a circulation pump — for comfort and optimal use in every season.
